Workshop Details:
This year’s online workshop will focus on intimate portrayals of subjects at the centre of long-term projects.
Learn from a master how to prepare and build impactful photo stories, either from around the world or right in your own back yard.
Get behind the scenes insight to 30+ assignments that Randy has produced for National Geographic Magazine.
From research to approaching people to be photographed, image capture to final selections and everything in between, Randy will lend his experience to help you strengthen your own photographic voice.
Students are encouraged to bring in-progress photo essays that they can continue to shoot throughout the workshop.
Those without in-progress works are encouraged to find an interesting subject to document over the course of the 5-days. Facilitators Steve Wadden and Chad Tobin will work with participants ahead of the workshop to help them shape up their story ideas.
Students will also have the opportunity for one-on-one portfolio reviews from past work and receive personalized, constructive feedback.
