CB Photo Workshop
Due to scheduling conflicts, registration is temporarily on hold. We hope to reschedule the 2019 Cape Breton Photo Workshop in Sydney, NS, with long-time Nat Geo photographer Randy Olson. Thank you for your patience.
Olson was the 2017 Photographer of the Year at the Sienna International Photography Awards and has 25-years of experience as a lecturer and faculty member with some of the world's most sought after workshops, including Missouri Photo Workshop and Eddie Adams.

This year’s hands-on workshop will focus on intimate portrayals of people and culture in long-term projects.
Learn from a master how to prepare and build impactful photo stories, either from around the world or right in your own back yard.
Get behind the scenes insight to 30+ assignments that Randy has produced for National Geographic Magazine.
From research to approaching people to be photographed, image capture to final selections and everything in between, Randy will lend his experience to help you strengthen your own photographic voice.
Students are encouraged to bring in-progress stories that they can continue to shoot throughout the workshop.
Those without in-progress works are encouraged to find an interesting subject, related to the culture and history of Cape Breton Island, to document over the three days.
Students will also have the opportunity to sit down for one-on-one portfolio reviews from past work and receive personalized, constructive feedback.
Seating is limited. Workshop fee is $750 CDN plus hst. (Food and accommodations not included)
Skill level of students can range from knowledgeable beginner to working professional.
Applications required - Please submit a portfolio of 10-20 images to workshop facilitator Steve Wadden at email@example.com
